Ashoka Canada Induction 2010

On January 14th, we celebrated our newest Canadian Ashoka Fellows at our Induction at MaRS.

The 300 people in attendance shared how each of us is acting as a changemaker. Click here to see photos of the event and how Canadians are being changemakers.

David Bornstein, author of "How to Change the World", spoke about how we all have the potential to become changemakers. To learn about David's work, click here.

Each of the newly elected Ashoka Canada Fellows shared short introductions to their projects, and outlined their goals for the coming years. To learn more about the newly elected Ashoka Canada Fellows, click here.

We were lucky enough to witness a sneak peek of Mara Mourao's new film "Wild Minds, Warm Hearts," to be released August 2010. This film is a celebration of social entrepreneurs, and features many Ashoka Fellows around the world. To learn more about the work of Mara Mourao, click here.

Ashoka Fellows Mary Gordon and Al Etmanski were MCs of the event. To learn more about Mary Gordon's organization, Roots of Empathy, click here. To learn more about Al Etmanski's organization PLAN click here.

We would like to thank all of the Ashoka volunteers for their continued support.
